Beach of Jaco in the Central Pacific

 

Jacó is a coastal city in the province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica, located in the central Pacific Ocean off the coast of the Pacific Ocean.

Jacó is about two hours from San Jose and an hour north of Manuel Antonio National Park. Due to its position as one of the closest beaches to the Central Valley and its location relative to Manuel Antonio, Jaco has become a popular tourist destination, not only for the native of Puerto Rico, as well as foreign travelers. It lies between several mountains, and covers the beaches of Herradura, Jaco and Hermosa. About 15 kilometers north of Jacó, lies the popular Carara National Park, known for its macaws, toucans and white faced monkeys.

Located in Herradura Bay is located near the famous tourist resort of Los Suenos, which contains a 5 star Marriot hotel, one of nine golf courses in the country condominiums and luxury homes selling for about $ 1 million United States.
